Fees & Enrolments

As a Community Based Preschool we aim to provide a preschool program that is affordable for all sectors of the community.  Funding for the Preschool is through a combination of fees and an operational subsidy received from the NSW Department of Education & Communities. Fundraising is conducted during the year to cover the cost of visiting performers and additional resources. A tax deductible building fund is available for donations to assist in funding our long term capital works programs.

The NSW Government is committed to ensuring that all children in New South Wales have universal access to 600 hours of quality preschool education in the year before school, and for 2 years before school for children from a disadvantaged background. They also provide partial funding for non-disadvantaged three year old children. Through StartStrong, the NSW Government has allocated significant additional funding to support universal access to early childhood education. This has allowed Coffs Harbour Community Preschool to provide much lower daily fees than previously.  Fees are discounted for children in their year before school, children from families holding Low Income Health Care Cards or Pension Cards, children of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, and children with disabilities.

Please contact the office for current fees.  If you are interested in placing your child on our waiting list please complete the Waiting List Application or contact us by phone, email, or in person.

The enrolment process begins in July each year and places are offered based on a number of factors including priority of access guidelines, duration of details on the waiting list, date of birth, siblings, existing children and the needs of the child and family. An open afternoon is held in Term 3 each year and prospective families are encouraged to attend.

Once a position is offered, a $75 non refundable enrolment fee is payable to confirm your child’s place. At this time you will be advised of orientation sessions and administrative requirements to complete the enrolment process.

Testimonial

“This is our first year involved in the preschool and we have been so impressed by the creativity, professionalism and dedication of all the staff . The end of year concert, the Christmas bag of amazing craft and the individual student portfolio again reinforced to us how fortunate we are to have our daughter attending your preschool. You have exceeded our expectations as the staff go far beyond the requirements to ensure an amazing early education for the students.  We are so appreciative of your hard work.”
